Business Networker’s either love Ivan Misner & BNI or hate them both
While publishing business networking events, business networking sites and business networking organizations, Networking Event Finders strives for Networking Neutrality. If you or your organization hosts a ‘Networking Event’ then we’ll publish and promote your event to the business community, withn our guidelines. As a publisher, we are not in the Networking Event Business and do not host our own networking events or expos. We also publish business networking tips and hints. BNI is a huge business networking organization. BNI stands for Business Network International. They have expanded quickly around the globe with their franchising model and some say may be the largest business networking organization in the world. BNI’s day to day operations are no longer run by Ivan Misner. But he still remains the formost authority in the business networking community.
Business Networking for VETERANS, We salute you
The Government has a ton of resources for returning veterans that’s no secret. What is not well-known are the number of individuals who have taken it upon themselves to organize vet-focused networking opportunities in their community. San Diego has a large presence of both military and defense contractors. Former military personnel are often hired by defense contractors when they transition to civilian life. To make it easier for the defense industry and other industries interested in hiring veterans to find verterans to hire, Tom Hammons started NAVNET. This monthly breakfast meeting brings people together to find just such opportunities. This group started with just a few people and with no website or social media-type promotion, has grown to a network of almost 3000 professionals. Social media are networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. (I hope Networking Event Finders and the San Diego Networking Guide has helped.)
