I know you’re wondering why I’m talking about how to lose weight fast. Here’s the story: a few days ago I had a rare opportunity to climb two flights of stairs, and was a very intense experience. By the time I reached the top, I was perspiring profusely, coughing, my face was red, and I felt like I would die. I had to get myself into the bathroom, splashed some cool water in my face, and looked up into the mirror, and I realized something: I have to lose weight and fast.

On some level, I feel like I’m becoming my father. He was a ferociously fat man, with a wonderful sense of humor and a devout, good-natured approach to life. But man, he was large. And nowadays I’m growing fat as well. Now don’t misunderstand, I love my father, but I sure would like to avoid getting to 350 pounds. Because once you get that big, there’s really just no going back.

So I’ve been researching how to loose weight fast. My wife is on board with me now, saying that she also wants to get thinner, which will no doubt make it a lot easier to succeed on whichever diet program we end up with. There’s an almost unmanageable quantity of thoughts on how to lose weight out there.

I’ll keep you guys up to date on how well the weight loss plan is turning out for us. I realize losing weight will be difficult, but it’s time to make it happen as far as I can tell, so I am going to really be working hard to learn how to lose weight fast.
